Do I want a Fitbit?

I have been obsessing over a Fitbit for weeks now, but I'm still sooo undecided. I am a pretty active person (workout 6x a week, ride my bike 3x per week, and take jaunts to the park all the time) so I don't really think I need a Fitbit in order to motivate me, but it seems so cool! Be honest... Is it a waste of money since it really is just a glorified pedometer? Should I just spend the money on a Kindle and improve my mind since I seem to have the body thing under control?
I guess what I really want to hear is the story of someone who bought it and then realized it was pointless. Please dissuade me!

Totally caved and ordered it. I couldn't get it off of my mind. My library card will just get an extra good workout this summer.0

don't blame you,,, kinda hard to read a kindle and run. Get what you want. If you get it and think its a waste of time send it back or sell it on ebay.0

That's a good point. I didn't even think about returning it.0
