1 cup frozen strawberries (140g)
1 scoop vanilla 100% Whey Protein Powder (36g)

Blend all 3 ingredients in a food processor (or blender) and stick it in the freezer for a couple hours and Bam! ICE CREAM!!!

For the whole recipe:

1.5 Fat

This is my new fave thing to have right after my workout since I'm so hot and sweaty! Plus its so yummy!!

Sounds good. Chocolate whey and a frozen banana instead of vanilla & strawberries would work well too.

I made one that tasted good BUT, my brain and taste buds knew it was no where near REAL ICE CREAM so I just threw it out.. :/

I think the only thing I will have with my protein powder, is ne thing that is NOT fake ice cream.. glad u liked urs tho :)

Here's a true evening dessert shake that is under 300 calories. This one is the DQ Strawberry Cheesequake Wannabe flavor, but you can mix it up and make it your own:

    1 cup water
Gnc Gold Standard 100% Casein Protein - Creamy Vanilla - Protein Powder, 1 scoop
Dole - Banana, Raw, 0.5 ripe banana (slice and freeze this overnight)
Jello - 2 T Sugar Free Fat Free Cheesecake Pudding Mix, 0.33 T
Cascadian Farms - Strawberries, Frozen Organic, 1/2 cup (about 5 strawberries)
Breyers Sugar Free 1/2 the Fat Vanilla - Ice Cream, 1/2 cup

Throw everything together in the blender and let 'er rip for about 45 seconds to a minute. Total calories is 289. A Dairy Queen Strawberry Cheesequake blizzard of the same size is well over 900 calories, and the taste is truly comparable.

Use casein protein if it's a night-time snack because it releases more slowly into the bloodstream. That keeps your body fueled while you sleep. In the morning, I'd use whey protein instead because it releases more quickly and helps you "break" your "fast".
