I am a 49 year old male who joined myfitnesspal in November of 2011 and I had great success. In February of 2012, I had an accident and was unable to walk for about a month; my weight zoomed up to 347 lbs. I am now well on the road to recovery and swimming three hours every day and lifting weights. I would like to make some friends and continue to be motivated by this great site.::happy:

Hey. Good to have you back. Friend request on its way.
  • Hi--welcome back!

Remember how you did it before? Set the goals, log your food, maybe check out calorie values before eating something, just to be sure it was within the goals?

    You can do it again.

I am excited that you are here.

I've only been here (I think) since March. I dropped clothes sizes noticeably and felt better about how I looked than I had in years. Nothing like what happened to you, I'm sure, but interruption is interruption, right? I haven't gained it back but I am out of the habit of logging calories and those stinkers can really sneak up on you!

Anyway, I understand, I applaud that you are back, I hope you are well recovered and I'm looking forward to seeing you on the board.

    Woohoo--welcome back!
    Christine

Welcome back ! I was also doing real well when I had a leg injury and could not work out for over 2 months by the time I could work out again I lost all my motivation ,needless to say I gained all the weight I had lost back plus another 18 pounds . ughh but I am determined to drop all that weight again. Just as I am sure you will :)
