Yes I need a real scale. So far lost 46 lbs but suck and I think a new scale is a good ideas. Need a recommendation to help push me in the right direction. I have read nothing but good things about this one EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale w/ Extra Large Backlit 3.5" Display and "Step-On" Technology

Also protein powder what do you use. I right now use pure protein 100% whey protein. I am on limited income so I need a good one but not high priced. :indifferent:

    You can have my scale.

I think they're about all the same, if you just want simple body weight and are not super large. I've had mine for like 14 years. It's some plain Jane digital Healthometer scale that was around $40 at Costco. I did pick up a Biggest Loser Body Fat scale on clearance at Kohls a couple years ago and hated it, though. You actually had to bend over and use buttons on the leading edge of the scale to use it, underneath the platform.

Protein powder- I just use what Costco's got in the big 4 lb. bag. I recently bought some fancy Sun Warrior vegan pp that was recommended for wayyyy more and it's gross.

i also need a new scale the one i have is very old and only show 2 pounds so 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 been looking at the digital and probley will break down and get one but the one my son has show that i weigh more on it and that is why i haven't gone out to buy one even though my scale is hare to determine how much is lost i like that is it less weight then my son's.

i don't use protein powders should I? i see more calories when i can consume food.

I love my Tanita, as it's extremely accurate, but it was about $50. If finances are an issue, there are lots of inexpensive choices in the stores that will work just fine. However, please keep in mind many of the inexpensive digital versions have a false 'memory', which means you step on the scale and get a number. Step off, pick up a coffee cup or something, step back on, and it'll lock in on the previous number - if you find yours doing this, put something of a vastly lower weight, like a 10 pound bag of flour or something, on the scale so it will reset the mechanism before you weigh yourself again.
