I need help setting mini goals

Hi

These are my vital stats.
Start weight = 64kg
Current weight = 62.5kg
Goal weight = 50kg

So with 14kg to lose in total I thought maybe I could set each mini goal to lose 3.5kg in say 3 or 4 weeks. However im struggling to make this realistic as I dont want tosate target dates of 4 weeks for each 3.5kg. Whats thebest way to set mini goals? I want to be realistic but atthe same timei want it to be a challenge as wel.
Currently my mini goals are asfollows but this definately needs to change.

Mini goal 1. By 14th may lose 3.5kg. Weight should be 60.5g

Mini goal 2. By 14th june lose 3.5kg. Weight should be 57.0g

Mini goal 3. By 14th july lose 3.5kg. Weight should be 53.5g

Mini goal 4. By 14th august lose 3.5kg. Weight should be 50g. GOAL!

This needs changing. Any advice would be great. Also how would I change things if I lose more than I need by the goal date?

    Thay sound pretty good and sensible mini goals.
    Personally I'd incorporate a treat for each goal met :wink:

    Mini goals are awesome! I set the mini goals also... However I do not set dates for them. My next goal is in 17 pounds (7.3 kg)....I do not set a date as I do not want to set myself up for failure... When I reach my mini-goals I reward myself with non-food rewards. At 25 pounds gone I bought a new bra, at 50 pounds gone, I am doing a massage or my tattoo, at 75...etc...

    I love mini-goals as that is a perfect way to celebrate your milestones.

    Hi nishsuz! I'm 63.5kg and I'm looking to lose 3.5kg for 5th July! My goal weight is 55kg which i was this time last year! :) I'm finding it a challenge to lose 1kg a week at times. But I believe it is realistic. What is your daily calorie intake and how much exercise are you doing a day/week? It would be interesting to compare and improve by learning from someone else who is of a similar weight and with the same mini targets. I don't use myfitnesspal regularly but actually came across this while searching the web for if my goal was realistic! It would be great to hear from you! Also is there anything in particular you've changed or have cut out from your diet? I've found reducing carbohydrates has helped me a lot in the last 2 weeks, where I lost 2kg. I look forward to your reply :)
