Made it through a birthday party at a bar, went to another bar after, all good...got home and the hubby insisted on ordering pizza, against my objections...as much as I tried to resist I had a piece...ugh. I want to smack him!!! Healthy dinner was right there!!! How do I fight this???

Hmmmm....1 piece of pizza has you upset? I absolutely refuse to deny myself anything! As long as you have made a committment to changing your lifestyle by eating healthy and exercising, it is no big deal to go over your calories 1 day or eat something less than stellar in terms of "healthy eating". You just can't 'give in' and do it all the time! I had a McDonalds quarter pounder and fries for dinner -the first one in ages but I'll be at the gym working out in the morning and I will definately eat better tomorrow!

Im no expert, but dont beat yourself up over the piece of pizza -enjoy it!!! :)
  • You're right about the piece of pizza, but I had already given in to a few shots of tequila...4 bottles of water, 4 shots...so I was ready to have a very low cal dinner to make up for the indulgence... *sigh*

Last week, I forgot to take something out of the freezer for dinner and the b/f says, "That's ok...we can order a pizza." And I said...umm, dear...I am trying to lose weight...remember? And he comes back with, "I was only trying to help." To him that was helping....him, who can eat anything and plenty of it and not gain anything. He isn't sabotaging....he just cant identify with anyone who has to work to lose weight. I am used to it.
  • I guess what I need to do is take the dogs for another run around the block to work off the extra calories so I can have a 100 cal bag of popcorn later tonight...because I WILL want it :-)

If you can take a class or something. I took a spin class and burned nearly 700 calories.
  • I totally need to do the class thing, but the gyms here are chock full of people with perfect bodies....very intimidating. I'm looking into a stationery bicycle or step machine, ect, for home...meanwhile I'm chasing my dogs around the house, LOL :-) 20 lbs from now I'll be ok to go back to the gym for classes.
