Natural/Cheap ways to Detox?

Hey Everyone!
I really need to detox. I try to do it once a year and I've been feeling so bad and sluggish lately that I know its time. In the past I've done the Master Cleanse but after 7 days of drinking that concoction it started to make me nauseous LOL. Does anyone know of any natural detoxes that won't make me feel weak or are extreme? I know that I will definitely be drinking only water, not even tea. and eating a lot of fruits and veggies but I am not sure how exactly to structure it and for how long.
Thanks for sharing (in advance)!

The best way to detox is to eat clean and let your liver and kidneys do the work. You can spend the money, but a week of the screaming squirts isn't going to expedite the process.0

Exactly. Your organs- kidney and liver- are there to detox the body. That is what they are designed to do. Buy any "detox" product you want, go on some crazy fast...it won't do anything but it is your money and your body. You can't "rid your body of toxins" or any other nonsense like that. Any "results" you get from detoxing are psychological and any weight loss will be temporary.0 -
This can be sort of complicated but doesn't have to be. In strict medical terms we are not really talking about detoxifying but the term has been made so popular their is no better way to describe it. Before you do anything investigate and question thoroughly. There are a lot of 'gurus' out there making a lot of money on useless things all in the name of detoxing.
Forget the kits. They are not needed. Also, avoid extremes like colonics. Its expensive, can be very dangerous and is literally money down the drain. I would also avoid fasting, which is actually a very good way to detox- but that's just me. A good extreme detoxing is to do a juice fast (mainly veggie juices) or to eat only fruits and vegetables for a set period of time.
Eat modest amounts of fruit in the AM and in the AM only. This is when our body naturally 'detoxes'. The hot water with lemon is also wonderful. Especially first when you wake up.
Morning cardio before eating is also very helpful. Rebounding, while not the hardest exercise out there, is wonderful for shaking up your lymph system.
Skin brushing before your AM shower also greatly helps move your lymphs.
Limiting animal proteins/products.
Avoiding or limiting dairy
Wash your fruits and vegetables
Soak your nuts and grains (like Quinoa and Millet)
Avoiding or limiting gluten
Drinking plenty of water. Especially in the morning.
Eat ample amounts of fiber
Avoiding room sprays, smoke, breathing in household cleaner fumes, fabric softener and in general household chemicals as much as possible.
- consider putting a water filter on your shower head. ( I haven't done this yet)
When you are doing it right you will probably experience a Herxheimer effect (please look this up). It is a good sign but is uncomfortable for a 2-6 day period.
After your initial 'herxing' your energy will skyrocket. The stricter you are the greater and faster your results. 'Detoxing' is not just good for better fat transport (i.e. removal from your body) but it helps your skin, ability to think more clearly and even how your joints feel during exercise.0
