Meditation

I'm interested in any tips or advice anyone can give me about meditating. I've tried it a lot but always end up thinking about something stupid like shopping lol.

    Do you have an apple device? There is a great meditation guidance app on there. She stops your mind wandering. I've sticks it's it for a year now thanks to that - think its well being meditation, will have a look

    Try mindfulness meditation. The aim is not to have a blank mind/no thoughts, but to allow them to come and go, and notice them without judging or getting caught up in them.

    Yeah that's pretty much what is one does - u sort of 'let go'....

    If I can't stop thinking about other things I think about breathing, I say to myself, breathe in, breathe out. Also it really helps to cover yourself when you can't relax. If you are meditating lying on the floor try draping a towel over your legs or abdomen. If you are trying to meditate in the seated position try it lying on your back or on your side in newborn pose.

    I also picture each inhale filling my body with cleansing white air, and each exhale blowing out grey, stress filled air.

    For me meditation fells when I'm in pain (emotion).
    Chanting, say it out will do it for me. Since your ears will listen to what you say so it will get in your mind.
    You mouth is moving.... you mind have to think about the word before saying.
    Your mind and your body will become one.

    Make sure you're comfortable. Work on your breathing. And don't get frustrated. When you realize that your mind is wandering and thinking about that one day sale going on at macys lol just say "I AM." That should be your only thought. I am. Don't be upset if you can't stay on it. Just when you find your mind drifting off refocus without getting upset at yourself.
