I'm in love with this chicken stir fry that I make with mushrooms, onions, zucchini, spinach, garlic and chicken breast. I don't even add salt to it... it's just good all the way around!
I also make sure I compare sodium levels on things I buy and buy meat in bulk then separate later and freeze in portions.
Love the unsalted cashew butter... that's super good in steel cut oats and cooked thick then dipped with apple slices0 -
cant beat ripe fruit in season my favs are watermelon, pineapple, mango, strawberries, bluebrries and avocados too!0
-
My new favorite snack is vanilla greek yogurt with grapes. the two flavours make a tasty little treat!0
-
I have a VitaBrownie or VitaTop almost every night as my "treat" for the day. They have different flavors, but my fave are the chocolate ones...the VitaTops are like muffin tops that you warm in the microwave...only 100 calories, and yummy! You can find them with the frozen foods in most stores. I've also been on a cottage cheese kick lately- good by itself, or you can add some fruit, or even throw it in the blender and make a protein shake (sounds weird, but it gives it a "milkshake" consistency).0
-
Veggies! If you cut them up right away (otherwise they will rot in your refrigerator) they are great with SALSA!
Bell peppers, cucumbers, celery...0 -
yogurt, string cheese, fresh veggies w/hummus, popcorn, fruit
lately i have been freezing fat free yogurt and eating it as a cool summer treat!0 -

Frozen fish fillets - cheaper in a bag rather than 'fresh', sugar free jelly, nuts, in season fruit and veg is usually cheaper, chicken, lighter skimmed milk, fat free dairy products (personal taste), greek yoghurt, carrots/cucumber cut into strips for snacks, check out the supermarket online and see if they deliver for free - makes it a lot easier to avoid buying 'naughty' food when you can take your time and check out the nutritional values online. Good luck!0
