So find a healthy version of something sweet. Sweet things are necessarily bad unless they contain a pound of butter and sugar. How about medjool dates? they are caramel flavored and only 2 of those and my sweet craving is fine. Or a small piece of 65% cacao chocolate? Or broil a fruit like peaches with a tiny bit of turbinado sugar. All it takes is a little effort and you can keep dessert while still eating well.0

if you actually get off sweets for a few weeks, you will lose the taste and desire for them. you could then stand right in that candy shop and not have any desire at all, It helps to learn what exactly happens inside your body when you dump a big load of simple carbs into your body. do a bit of research on sugar.
I am not bashing sugar, but when it comes to candy and other stuff, it helps to know what your body has to do to deal with a big load of it.
good luck.0 -

Sorry, this is is a lie I love sweets and have been off them 5 months and I still love them and haven't gotten off them or lost the taste for them. Instead, I've learned to avoid them. Stay away from the temptation! Everyone has their vices. I know someone who loves salty food and has no problems with sweets at all, just do the best you can.0 -

Best way to handle my love for sweets --
Cut up a gala apple into slices and lay them out on a plate, sprinkle with cinnamon and a light drizzle of Walden Farms Caramel sauce (0 calories), and microwave for 2 minutes. It tastes JUST like the inside of an apple pie!!
I had that this morning on top of 2 Kashi 7-grain waffles (150 calories).
So 266 calories for a breakfast full of fiber that tasted just like I was eating delicious apple pie. YUMMMYYYYYYY!!0
