Did I Hit My Limit??

I have not lost a single pound in 4 months!
How do you know if you have hit your limit and can't lose anymore?
I'm 5'3 and 118lbs. I would like to lose at least 5 more pounds but after 4 months of nothing,I don't think my body can.
I know the last 5 are the hardest and I think I've been pretty darn patient. I'm just not sure what else to do.
Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

Maybe talk to your doctor/nutrition specialist? They might be able to help.0

I've always "heard" that a good baseline is 100 lbs for 5 feet then 5lbs for every inch so at 5'3" 115 should be right for you.
I'm only an inch taller than you and striving for 130, so you go girl!0 -
Start eating at the maintenance calories for the weight you want to be, and see what happens.0

That is so true what you said! Because I am 5'6 and I would like to weigh about 125-130.

.. thats good to know, I'm 5"7 and about 140, and I have been trying SO darn hard to lose maybe another 10-12, (I have a small-med frame, kinda in the middle) and it just seems like I'm not getting anywhere.. I wonder..0 -
My last 5 pretty much took me the whole summer.
Initially, I was really happy that I reached my goal, and I've been maintaining since September.. But I'm thinking.
Was it really worth it?
I think I was just as happy 5 pounds away from my goal as I am now.
Maybe even more now that I think about it...
If your body isn't losing at all, and you've been working hard at it, maybe it's time to take a step back and look at this objectively, not just as "omg need to reach my goal"
Are you healthy?
Are you happy with your body?
Are you thinking about those last 5 pounds only because you set your goal there?0 -

I thought about that.
I am healthy, but NOT happy with my body. I never actually set a goal for myself, I based it on how I looked/feel. I know that my body could stand to lose the 5 lbs, I can hold it on my hands... Lol0 -
What does your workout consist of? Sometimes we do get obsessed with the scale. I know I am. But it is a matter of looking in the mirror and liking (or not liking) what you see and also feeling great in the clothes you wear. Although I have 19 pounds to go, my body fat % is classified as "lean", I'm toned (but would like to be toner - I'm my worst critic), I am wearing between a 4 and a 6. But I'm also 5'9" so it really depends on your physicality too. I have a game plan for taking the pounds off and not "stalling" at the final 5. There are a number of different things you can do.0
