Craving Ice Cream??

You can have 'ice cream' without all of the dairy and sugar. All you need is....
1) 3 bananas
2) Blender
4) Freezer
5) You can add frozen strawberries as well
First, Cut the bananas and put them in a container or on a tray
Second, freeze the three bananas (it is preferred that they are extremely ripe before freezing). This will take a few hours so put the bananas in the freezer the night before or while you are at work.
Third, Put the chopped and frozen bananas into the blender. At first they will look chopped, do not stop blending until they are a custard consistency.
Once that is done you can enjoy your ice cream in a bowl or cone as soft serve (right out of the blender) or put the ice cream in the freezer too later be scooped.
It tastes exactly like ice cream but you can feel guilt free!! Feel free to add other frozen fruits to the bananas or if you are really having a sweet tooth (the regular banana mix is sweet enough) you can add chocolate chips.
I hope this is a good alternative and helps you!

I've also heard of folks adding peanut butter and/or cocoa powder.0

Too much sugar and starch in 3 bananas for me :-) Low carb ice cream with dairy :
Raspberry ice cream from cream and raspberries works for me, or frozen yoghurt from greek yoghurt & raspberries. Blend fruit and dairy, transfer to bowl previously chilled in freezer. Every 20 or 30 mins for 2 hours scrape the bowl to mix the ice crystals off the inside surface into the body of the mixture, serve when at the right consistency or it'll go rock solid if left too long.0 -
This is for multiple servings btw0

Clever idea for those trying to avoid dairy and/or sugar! However, from a strictly calorie-counting perspective, I'll stick to the real thing.
3 medium bananas = approximately 315 calories
1/2 cup of my favorite ice cream = 170 calories0
