Does strength training (situps, push ups..) increase my calorie intake??..It doen't increase in my calorie table as opposed to cardio training (walking...)

You can put strength training under Cardio to get an estimated calorie burn.

The strength training portion of the exercise diary is only for keeping track of weights and reps. You have to add it as a cardio exercise to get "credit" for the calories burned. Situps, pushups, etc. would be listed under "Calisthenics (pushups, sit-ups), vigorous effort" and weight lifting would be "Strength training (weight lifting, weight training)."

It's ok. I had the same question when I started. I used a separate program to track my weight workouts, but enter it under "weight training" in MFP to get the calorie count! :-)

No, exercise does not increase your calorie intake. Eating food does that.

I assume that you mean does strength training burn calories, and should you eat more food to make up for it? Yes to both questions, though estimating the amount of calories burned during strength training is tricky.

Thanks for the information. I didn't know any of this as I am fairly new to the site.
