Different readings on different scales?!

Hi guys,
This is really stressing me out, as over the past 5 weeks I've worked fairly hard and have been tracking my weight on my home scale every monday morning. According to my home scale 5 weeks ago I was 14stone 7lbs, I wrote down my weight each week which was as follows:
Start: 14stone 7lbs
End of Week One: 14stone 1lb
End of Week Two: 13stone 7lbs
End of Week Three: 13stone 5lbs
End of Weeks Four: 13stone 1lb
So as you can see, there is a gradual decrease in weight, although the first week or two saw a lot more of a loss, but of course as the weeks go on, you start to lose a more sensible amount which usually stays consistent.
So, my problem is, today I weighed myself on the scales at the gym...... instead of reading 13stone 1lb which after five weeks my home scale read... it said I was 14stone 3lbs!!!!!! I was gutted. I have no idea what to believe now, i've been feeling so good about myself that I have managed to lose over a stone..but which is right?? I never move my home scale, and it reads the same if i weigh myself twice to check the first reading. However, today i moved my scale to a different part of the floor and it read 14stone. I moved it back, and it read the 13stone 1lb again....... HELP ME GUYS!!!!

Scales are mechanical and will be calibrated differently. Additionally, wear and tear will affect the scale's performance. Chose a scale, and stick to it. I would advise using a personal one. That way, you are in control of who uses it and how it is used. I also advise spending a bit of money and getting one that calibrates or "auto-zeroes" before each use. Be sure to use it on a flat, hard surface as well for more reliable results.0

Well, the one I have been using is a personal one which I have had for about 6 months. It is digital, and always auto-zeros. I am the only person who has used it, too.0

The only way to be sure is to make sure it reads zero with nothing on it and 12 stone with an 8 stone and a 4 stone weight on it.0
