So I havent been drinking any soda pop or juices. For the last week, all Ive been drinking is this water called Clear American Sparkling water. It has 0 cal, 0 sodium, 0 sugar, basically, no calories at all.
The only problem is in the ingredients it has aspartame and all this stuff to give it the flavor. I cant drink plain water right now like I want to, so Im just drinking this to get me use to not drinking soda and juices. Do you think drinking flavored water will mess up my weight loss?
Also, I mix water in with the flavored to dilute it a bit to get me use to drinking plain water all the time. So I really want to know if this is a good approach until I can drink plain water all day without soda cravings.

It sounds to me like a well-marketed diet soda - it's fizzy water with added flavours, just liike diet coke etc.
If it tastes good and you don't mind the taste of the sweeteners (I can't drink them, they taste horrible to me) then drink it.
If your goal is to cut out soda - then you're just replacing it with a different kind of soda.
If you want something without the addtitives, but still fizzy, try unflavoured soda water (in my part of the world it would be called "sparkling mineral water" or just "soda water") with some lemon juice or lime juice squeezed into it. Or some other kind of fresh squeezed fruit juice for flavour.
It really comes down to what you like and what you are trying to achieve. I don't think it's very likely to "mess up your weight loss" but you can only try for yourself and see how it makes you feel.0 -

Have you tried the unsweetened ones? I think they call them flavored seltzer water? Personally, I don't have a problem with the aspertame, I don't think there's enough convincing evidence to say that its going to be a roadblock. If you find yourself in a position where you've stopped losing weight or feel like your cravings for sweets are out of control, cutting aspertame may be something you consider at that point. If you're concerned though, try the unsweetened ones, they're quite good! For me it would be too expensive and inconvenient to drink all of my water as soda water- because I drink 3-5L a day. I've been eying a sodastream for a long time to solve that problem though.0 -

Yeah, I gotta try the other kinds of water. I never had seltzer water, so I will definitely check it out. I really love this water though, but hopefully, I dont gain any weight from it. Maybe what I will do is try to dilute it more and see if that helps. Thanks!0
