TurboFire! It's awesome! I love it and do miss it when I don't do it for awhile, as I have been running and lifting instead lately. Hard to follow at first, but once you get the hang of it, you sweat your bum off!

Are you looking for legit kickboxing training or cardio kickboxing? I can recommend Turbojam/Turbofire and 10 minute solutions kickbox as cardio kickboxing. I can't emphasize how much I LOVE turbojam and turbofire by chalene johnson.

JM has a Kickboxing Video...Kickboxing FastFix - 3 workouts - 20 minutes each. LOVE THEM! I highly recommend it!

I would also say Turbo Fire or Turbo Jam. Same instructor but Turbo Fire is more advanced and newer :)

LOVE IT and I think you will TOO!!

I have Jillian's Kickbox FastFix and I love it! It's fun & fast-paced - three workouts, each exactly 20 minutes, so you can mix and match depending on how much time (and energy) you have. The first workout focuses on arms & uses dumbbells a few times, second is lower body, third is abs, but you're doing kicking & punching combos in all three, so lots o' sweatin' all the way through.

I've heard great things about TurboJam & TurboFire, but haven't gotten my hands on either yet, so can't help ya there. I think you might be able to find clips of all three of these DVDs online to kind of get a feel for what they're like. OR check your local library.
  • I am a 1st Dan Blackbelt In Freestyle Karate & Jiu Jutsu and the DVD's you are talking about are good calorie burners the only thing i would say is your missing out on a good social opportunity of going down to the classes and meeting new people and also its a great confidence boost.

    Go kick some *kitten*

Not exactly kickboxing but Tapout XT is awesome. They teach the exact moves UFC/MMA fighters use and you will burn a ton of calories and work your core every day.

thanks everyone...i'd def prefer a more cardio type like JM has in her other DVD's. I do running and weights too..so I would like just another choice of DVD's to mix it up. :)

The P90X program has a Kenpo dvd in it which is like kickboxing. It's fun and a terrific workout! It was always my favorite day when I got to do that one!

Being a k-box instructor myself, I like JM's kickbox Fastfix. Not so dancy and relies more on actual kickboxing moves.

This one is on heavy rotation in my workouts. http://www.amazon.com/Prevention-Fitness-Kick-Start-Metabolism/dp/B003SKWR6O

Simple but a lot of punching and kicking and it gets my heart rate going!
