Are you supposed to eat the extra calories earned from exercising? I am new to this so I am not sure how to handle the earned calories.

Most people recommend eating at least part of your exercise calories.

You don't *have* to do anything... It's up to you how you want to use this site.

When I was losing, I used it to track my food only. Now that I'm working on maintaining, I do put in my exercise but I put in what gets me to the calories I know I've burned, not the calories MFP says I've burned. (Which are high in most cases and low in a few other.)

I track my actual exercise somewhere else because I want to keep track of stuff MFP doesn't keep track of. Like miles run/biked and my average pace.

    I do- if I'm hungry.
  • I work out everyday, and earn extra but I dont eat all my calories anyway. If I aint hungry I am not eatting that much. Do what your body tells you. you might need those extra calories, but I dont. My body takes for ever to get hungry again after I eat. Unless I eat first thing in the morning and go workout, then I stay hungry all day!!!!
