Let me introduce myself: "Hi, I'm Pam!"

My name is Pam and I am looking for friends who are looking to make lifestyle changes. I am not interested in diets or get-thin quick options. My theory is: "Once I am off of it, then what?" I am only looking for results that will last and since I am not in a race to do it, I should be ok. Currently, I use My Fit Foods to get me integrated into portion control and how foods should be cooked. I am giving myself about 2 months and a few pounds and then I want to start planning and cooking my own meals.

I exercise (for now) three times per week. Running, Cardio & Toning. I am not looking for a particular age range of supporters. Support from anyone who is serious about this journey would be wonderful!

  • Hi Pam,

My name is Stephanie and like you I am looking for a lifestyle change. I've tried diets twice in my lifetime but once "off" the diet I gradually reverted to old eating habits. I decided it was time for a lifestyle change where I embrace long term healthy eating habits and regular excercise.

I'm been inspired by Mireille Guiliano's French Women Don't Get Fat. She doesn't advocate dieting in any form and I find her advice straightforward, honest, and supportive of setting healthy habits for a lifetime. This coupled with MFP and I feel remarkable after a few weeks. Although the scale is dropping at a gradual pace I'm feeling and seeing the difference in how my clothes fit and my attitude.

I'm an active person by nature and love biking, hiking, water aerobics, and yoga. I experienced a martial arts injury a couple of years ago that ended running and martial arts. I hope to incorporate running in my future now that I'm on the mend.

Feel free to add me as a friend.

    -Stephanie
