I do a lot of planks - both front and side, lying leg raises and renegade rows.
Do you know your body fat? I started seeing some faint definition around 24%. The lower I got, the more defined they became. Most of the battle is diet which I'm sure you're aware of. Hope that helps.0 -
Running. Planks. Side Planks. Weights.
I use dumb bells, then I do some planks, then I run in the woods. Then I do more dumb bells, planks and another run if I can handle it, otherwise a good hike.
Running is great for over all toning I think. Try holding a plank as long as you can while keeping your bod straight. You will feel the burn in your tummy. Such a good burn!

UGH i hate planks lol! yup, Im currently around 20% I believe. Ive got that "little pudge" on the bottom that is a pain to rid of but im pickin up the cardio too now.0

Definitely echo OP about the running. How you tried kettlebells? I recently dropped from 21% to 19% in about an eight-week period from doing a KB circuit three times a week. I bet you're like 1% away from really seeing some nice definition, I would think. Look on my profile at my pics, I'm not ripped by any means but decent definition considering my age and that I've had kids IMHO.0 -
You look great! I havent done anything with kettlebells yet but I want to start an intense workout for my abs next week. Trying to get rid of any extra fat first and build that muscle.0

Thanks. I figured the pics might give you a visual of what you might look like with a slightly lower body fat. Definitely run then. Once the body fat is gone, try the kettlebells. They are really fun and moves like the swing work your abs like nobody's business, lol. Good luck to you.0 -
Ab workouts are cool and all but to see more of your abs you'd need to further decrease your bf%.0

What are you recommending? My goal is 17% right now!0 -
The Insanity Program really helped me lower my body fat. That and eating really clean. Abs are made in the kitchen as the saying goes.0

Thanks for the advice! As much as I hate planks, I will definitely start to do them a few nights a week. Ill set a new goal just because I hate them.0

You might not need to go that low. A lot of it depends on genetics, honestly. I don't hold much fat in my abs as other places so I started seeing mine at higher percentages. I think you'll know the right percentage for you when you look in the mirror.0 -
True, thanks girl0
