So....I live on the second floor of a duplex and I have no space for exercise equipment but I'd like to be able to get a legit work out at home.

Any suggestions on what I can do in my place without driving my downstairs neighbors crazy besides outdoor walking?

Maybe talk to your downstairs neighbor and find out if it would bug them if you exercised using DVDs? Maybe find out if there's a time they wouldn't mind you doing it or WOULD mind you doing it (say, they have little ones that go to bed at 8pm or something). That's what I did when I lived in an upstairs apartment. I found out my downstairs neighbor didn't care at all.

In the same way, my now upstairs neighbors know that I don't care if their kids run around their apartment. Communication seems to be key to have happy neighbors.

You could do the 30 Day Shred. I live on the 3rd floor and its only 20 minutes of jumping around. I am sure your neighbors can deal with 20 minutes.

Myobi's advice is on point. I had a neighbor downstairs who once called the security guard when I was on Insanity Month 2. Can't blame him because it was crazy noise on his head. I went down and talked to him, and we found a time that I could workout for an hour without disturbing him or his wife. After that, even if he was home during the time we agreed on, he would go to another room or take a walk.

A little communication goes a long way.
