Toned stomach

Hi everyone,
I think Ive reached the perfect weight, but cant seem to tone my abs. I could only see them once 3 years ago but that's because I was eating a lot less ( weighed 3-4 kg less than now) and stressed with final exams which I believe wasnt really healthy.
I've started trying planks at the gym.. and of course trying not to overdose with carbs ( even though I didnt eliminate them nor plan to). I would be really happy if I could get better results, I work out 3 times per week, for 60min and sometimes add 30min cardio. Any suggestions on how to achieve this?? thanks!

I wasn't having any success on the toned stomach and ab area until I did Insanity. It was amazing in 60 days the results I got from purely just adding that routine. I didn't lose weight during the course of the program, but I got much better abs and flat stomach.
Flat stomach's are also hormonal in women. It could be cortisol levels, or estrogen dominance as well.0 -
I keep hearing about how great abs are made in the kitchen.
I don't have a naturally flat stomach even when I looked my best. I'm going to try JM's 6 wk 6 pack once through with her BR and see what happens,0 -
Thanks for the tip! I'll take a look at that program0

If your abs aren't showing, your bodyfat is too high for them to be visible. You may be at an ideal weight, but if your bodyfat is too high there will still be a layer of fat covering them. You should try to recomp-by which I mean, eat at your maintenance level calories, hit up the weights hard. You will gain muscle and hopefully shed some fat, stay around roughly the same weight but your body composition will become more favorable and allow your abs to show.0

^^ I am using JM's 6wk 6 pack DVD about 2-3 days per week. I am on week 3 and I can see some side/upper abs definition. Not sure if I will ever have as defined abs as I want, I had 3 c-sections and don't know if that prevents my stomach from being able to totally get toned/0 -
Check out this discussion. Tightest most ripped abs I've seen anywhere in a long time. I would say that she's an expert on this issue. She went from 171 lbs to doing shoots for magazines. Yeah, that would quantify her as some what of an expert on this.
