Anyone's shoe size smaller?

Just wondering, as I've been having some trouble keeping my shoes on today. I don't wear a "wide" shoe or anything, but has anyone had to change shoe size after losing some weight?

Could just be a water weight thing today but it's really annoying...haha.

I thought I was the only one! NONE of my stilettos fit properly now, my feet always pop out of them when I walk!

You lose weight everywhere. Why would your feet be the exception?

When I lost my weight the first time, I went from a 9.5 dress shoe to an 8.5 (and sometimes an 8). I never expected that.

Yep! When I went from 160lbs down to a little under 100lbs (I am 4'11") several years ago I went from a size 6 1/2 shoe to 5 1/2 shoe.

It all depends where you gain weight. If for some reason like me you gained in your feet then you will lose in your feet!

I agree with you it does seem weird that your shoe size would change. Sometimes a skinnier foot can help you fit a smaller shoes size better although you didn't fit the "wide feet" profile. I know feet get longer since mine did after my pregnancy, but shorter I don't know. I sure wish they did though. Weight gain caused mine to be wider though so I know I'll be wearing another size when I reach my goal.

Wow! I was not aware this was possible. I'm still the same size I was since I was 14 . I wear a size 11w and it sucks going shoe shopping.

If there are some exercises to lose weight in my feet let me know

Yes you do gain and you lose in your feet . When I weighed 380 pounds i wore a size 10 shoes , now i am 134 pounds and i wear a size 8 shoes.

I haven't lost any length, but the width has changed. I went from a D to a B (which is the average width ladies shoes are made in America). Definitely a bit easier to find shoes now that I don't need wide widths.

Yes the feet shrink and so does everything else. I went from 9.5 to 7.5. My fingers also shrank. Went from a size 10 to 7.5. I also lost 150lbs and that tends to happen. Even to the wrists, etc. After losing all my weight, I had to go buy new clothes, shoes, bra's..yes, my girls are small now compared to being a 44 DDD Now I an a 36C. I had to buy new everything and sold over 200 pairs of shoes to the consignment shops. We don't realize that we carry a lot of fat and water in our legs and feet and yes you will lose it in time. I actually sold all my jewelry because I didn't fit me anymore and had enough $$$ to fix my transmission in my Mercedes!

    Happy Shopping!

No one told us our feet would shrink, It doesn't happen to everyone...Also, Because that last thing we realize when we lose weight is that we lose it everywhere! including our feet. Most people will not see a difference in there feet;as it depends on the amount of weight one needs to lose and if we carry our weight in our legs, etc. We are all different in that regard.

Now I can't find shoes to fit my feet or heels. My heels are so skinny that I need in between sizes not just half and whole sizes.

The shoes I have just fit much better. Shoes that were really uncomfortable because they rubbed and caused blisters now fit really well and cause no problems. :)

Actually I had to get inserts for a few of my shoes... I thought it was because I went from wearing nylons in the winter to bare feet in the summer....could be that I have lost a few inches on my feet width wise...interesting...

  • I don't lose or gain weight in my feet. I've been a size two since 10th grade. Now, I want to buy a new pair of Batman shoes!

Yes, I was a 7 1/2M in high school. The pounds came on and feet grew up to 9W. After 179 lbs gone I am back to a 71/2 -8 M. I really didn't notice the feet shrinking until after 100+ lbs loss.

Your feet do shrink when you lose weight
    Less fat on your feet
    Less weight pushing down

Unfortunately mine have not shrunk. I still have giant feet

    Mine got bigger. I was a 7-7.5 now I'm 8-8.5.

But I have broken all my toes at one time or another.
