new to MFP and looking for encouragement!

Hi new to this site and have my fingers crossed that this will help me turn around the steady weight increase of the past year or so! I have found it really difficult to motivate myself to tackle this issue but at the same time I am very conscious that I need to do something about it now before it gets any worse.
Has anyone any word of wisdom to keep me going??

    i just started too! i have been doing it for 5 or 6 days and i feel better already! i have over 100 to lose, so i have a long journey ahead. since this is my 100th diet, lol, the best advice i can give is take it sloooooowwww, and exercise, exercise, and make sure you count those cals! try to eat real food and not the processed diet junk food that is out there! make your calories count!

    lovely to hear from you! I think it will make it so much easier to do this if i can share the journey with others.I am on day 4 so early days yet! But i agree with you - I am feeling better already too!
