                    Hi!
I've seen many ads for expensive weight loss / fitness retreats, but I'm cheap and want to simulate the experience at home during one weekend. These are my ideas so far:
1. Lots of yoga!
2. Long walks through parks.
3. Eating only fresh, delicious, healthy foods.
4. Splurge on a massage.
5. Some sort of DIY spa treatment, like a face mask or manicure.
6. Journaling.
7. Reading a self-help book about intuitive eating vs. emotional eating.
ETA: 8. Bubble bath!
Do you have any ideas? Have you ever visited a real retreat?
Thanks for reading!

Lovely idea. I had a foot mask for the first time at the weekend and really enjoyed it. Followed it up with a lovely hot bubble bath!0

This is a fabulous idea! I would add -- make spa-like water.
Get a pitcher and throw in some cucumbers, lemons, or whatever to hydrate in style :drinker:
There are lots of great ideas for water on Pinterest!0

make yourself an itinerary (i don't know how to spell that, obviously) and stick with it. when i go on vacations, i live for/by them - to the point where i make my family crazy. if i have to follow a schedule and check things off as i go along, i feel like i've accomplished so much more. for instance -
get up and eat a healthy breakfast,
 followed by yoga,
 bath,
 journal time,
 nap,
 eat healthy lunch,
 cardio workout,
 shower,
 read,
healthy dinner followed by a long walk
and end the day with a face mask-like treatment and bubblebath.
that sounds like a relaxing day to me - and you could change around your workouts the next day...
have fun and good luck with it!0

See my workout retreat is my garage, where i put on some nice music and go at it for a good hour by myself. It is really relaxing for me enjoy0

This reminds me... the BF and I really want to go camping so we can hike, grill our food, and enjoy nature a bit. And I can make him get some exercise
Invite a friend along if you can.
 Best of luck.0

Ah! We had cucumber water at our wedding reception and it was so wonderful and refreshing.
Hiking is a really good idea, too!0
