Any ex-smokers

I just quit last night at 9:00pm. I need like friends or any advice that you have would be helpful!!! This is not the first time I quit!!!

you'll succeed this time! I also tried and tried and I failed and then I tried again and I did it. over 10 months ago. first two weeks were worst. then it started to get easier. keep at it! one day at a time0

I am an ex-smoker too!
For over four years now!!! It took me several times.
You can do this! My husband still smokes...right in front of me even. Trust me when I say that the temptation lessens (doesn't go away) over time.0 -
I've been "smoke-free" for about three years now. It's definitely hard at first, but the cravings will eventually go away. It's only once in a blue moon that I crave a cigarette now, and it's not a very intense craving.
If you don't mind me asking, how are you quitting? Cold turkey, patch, Chantix?0 -

I quit smoking (for the zillionth time) about 4 years ago. It does get easier. I used to munch on baby carrots and celery and radishes to help keep my hands busy. A radish only has about 1.25 calories. Taking up running was the best think I did to help me stay quit. Good luck to you! :flowerforyou:0

I went cold turkey as well. I kept alot of hard candy (sugar free) around
lol...also known to chew on my pens when i was craving.

I was a smoker for 30 years, I quit 10 years ago. My Mother had Lung Cancer at the time from Smoking most of her life. I had tried alot of ways to quit and the only way that worked for me was cold Turkey. It was hard at first but I persisted.
One thing that did help me was I wore a rubber band on my wrist and every time I had a thought about smoking I would snap the rubber band which would take my thought off of smokeing. I hope this helps, Keep at it you can do it.0
