I tend to fall on the personal responsibility side, although not 100%. But a bacon sundae? I think I just puked in my mouth!0
-
To me the bacon sundae seems gross I wouldn't try it , thats just me... But about fast food making people fat , you know what its The Person making them selfs fat, if you choose not to eat healthy and eat nothing but junk food well then your gonna be fat ..:indifferent:0
-
Whoever doesn't already know that bacon sundaes aren't healthy is polluting the gene pool.0
-
Is it wrong to say I would LOVE to just try it. It's definitely different and I love bacon and I love ice cream but the two together just makes me go "ew!".. but I won't knock it till I try it! Haha.0

WE "DON'T NEED WARNING LABELS ON FOODS". WE'RE ALL OF AGE AND SMART PPL TO KNOW, WHAT'S GOOD AND BAD, BE IT FOOD OR CIGARETTES, DRUGS OR NE THING ELSE BAD..
Yea, and the bacon sundae thing I guess a lot of pot heads like it lol..
But nah I'd pass!0 -
I just read an article about one of Burger King's new menu items that is due to be released tomorrow. It's a BACON sundae that has 510 calories, 18 grams of fat, and 61 grams of sugar.
Now, I know there's a lot of debate on fast food restaurants and how their food is "making people fat". I totally agree that if you choose to eat that food (as I've done several times in the past) that it will eventually make you fat.
I'm of two minds about this. On one hand, I believe that everyone has to be held accountable for their own actions. No one is forcing people to eat at Burger King or any other restaurant, so I don't agree with people who sue these places for "making them fat"
On the other hand, it shocks me that food products that are obviously bad for you and that will eventually lead to several health problems (and even death if eaten regularly) are not more closely regulated and do not come with "warning lables" or something similar like cigarette packages do. I think that if people were more aware of the potential dangers of eating these foods, they would think twice about it.
What's your opinion?0 -
No, sorry. I just kind of feel we are all responsible for what we eat, wear, say etc...
I do feel sad/bad however when I see parents purchasing this stuff for young kids. Of course they are going to eat it. As a parent, we need to teach our children at a young age and that certainly isn't teaching them good eating habits.
My own personal opinion.
Any why should you feel bad because parents feed fast food to their kids? Do you ask them how often they do it? Do you ask what they are getting? Do you know anything at all about them beyond that they are there at the same time YOU ARE?
Once in a while I do let my kids eat fast food. It's a treat and we enjoy it sometimes. Just like a freakin' bacon sundae if we should decide such a thing should be enjoyed. Stop passing judgement on others and assuming that every person that eats fast food must eat there every day except you.0 -
I see people eating ice cream for dessert all the time. No reason not to mix the desert and main course together. It all ends up in the same place anyhow.0
-
not only does it sound good.. it looks good! Its not like there is a pound of bacon on it. mmmmm maybe there should be.
This just made my entire day better.
Not mine. It looked much bigger on tv. Now I'm not sure I want to share anymore. lol0 -
i'll pass at 510 calories0

I'll be honest...I too ka few bites of the hub's bacon sundae today and it is heavenly!!! That being said, I tried it, it was good, now I can carry on with my weight loss0

If you need a warning label that eating copious amounts of shít is bad for you, it's called Darwinism...
Seriously people, get over it.0 -
That to me sounds so gross .0

I am going to try one, well split it with my husband. Sounds delicious.0

Thank you!!! THIS!!!!0 -
To say that things like this should have a "warning label" is absolutely ridiculous. The name "Bacon Sundae" IS a warning label. If you hear those words and the words "healthy" or "good for me" pop into your head, please check yourself into the nearest asylum.0

Seems pretty ****ing gross if you ask me but hey if you have that many calories left over for the day have at it.0

I wouldn't say an asylum would be necessary, maybe a dictionary... ?0 -
Regarding warning labels. I think they should be removed from every product in the world no matter how lethal it is... Instant solution to both the overpopulation AND the stupidity epidemics right there.0

I feel like it has been made pretty clear in society that the food is awful for you. The nutrition facts can also easily be found, whether
Looking them up or asking in the restaurant.
It is the choice of the people now that the education about fast food has risen.
Besides, how can you ever feel like things like bacon sundaes won't make you fat??0 -

A pint of Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (heck, just about any offering from B&J) will cost you twice that.
I don't get the big hairy deal - they've offered a "double brownie sundae" for years that has more calories than their bacon one ever will. Their base ice cream sundae is 440 calories, so they added 60 calories of bacon (which is about right for one slice).
If you want to get mad, get mad about the sundae shake being offered as a 22 ounce beast that weighs in at 960 calories. Or the fact that the large french fries have as many calories as this new bacon sundae.
When you scarf down a 200 calorie Coke and a 500 calorie fries and a 760 calorie double whopper with cheese, which do you choose, the 960 calorie sundae shake or the 500 calorie bacon sundae?
Choose wisely.0 -
Are you asking if we rather get bacon and sugar that we choose to spend our own money on, or stupid policies by idiots that want to control our lives and attempt do so with our money against our will? Really?
Edit: I can't wait to try one!0 -

Because responsible people enjoy them occasionally and in moderation.0
