Hey all,

Kindly clarify this!!

It is known that OATS are very good for health and a great breakfast!! But the calories are very less in number!! If one takes say some X servings every day and as a result he is not reacing 1200Cal per day, does it effect his nutrition?

I don't really understand your question. Are you saying if you ONLY eat oats will it effect your nutrition??

Oats are fantastic in nutrition but no, eating just oats is not healthy. Much like eating just salt. Or eating just Oreos. Or eating just lettuce. Moderation and variety is the key.

i mean few makers suggest "have oat meal twice a day and u will get results"!! my question is if one eats oats twice a day and the third time some reg food!! oats of 100grams will only give 350cal, one cant eat more than 100grams a day, so breakfast and dinner gives 350cal, lunch gives some 600 cal (say), one cannot have 1200cal, can he? whenever i am below 1200, MFP suggests me to take more!!

Oats can make up part of a healthy diet.
You need to eat a variety of food to stay healthy.
You need to eat enough calories to stay healthy. Usualy 1200 MINIMUM for a woman. More for a man.
Don't believe everything you read on a box!
