Protein Shake

I drink a protein shake after I lift to help me gain lean muscle. (thus increasing the amount of calories I can consume that my body will need to fuel those built muscles) It also helps me recover quicker after lifting.
Anyways, should I be drinking one after I do cardio or only after lifting? I know men usually drink shakes often because they are trying to gain weight. As a woman, I am just trying to get lean and toned.
Anyone know?

I use Naturade total soy meal replacement in the morning before my workout and in the evening I also add a banana and a tbsp of peanut butter and blend it well. It really tastes great and fills you up0

I drink one after I lift and 45min-1hr before bed. Sometimes the days I don't lift I may drink one after I do cardio.0 -
On the days I do weight training (which is 5) and cardio or my ab routine I consume a protein shake of 25 grams (which is 2 scoops) immediately. Then right before I go to bed every night I have another protein shake also. :drinker:0
