Today is my first day with SPIKE

I joined a local boot camp/weight loss program six weeks ago with high hopes that it would be my "ticket to thin". I've lost only 6 pounds, while my fellow teammates have lost upwards of 20 pounds. I'm strong. I do the workouts, the weights, the cardio (and more cardio at night when I get home!). Starting out at 212, I feel that I *should* have lost more by now. Boot Camp has been successful for so many that I hate to be the voice of dissent...but the meal plans are only around 1200 calories a day, day in and day out without any fluctuation. It's not working for me. I'm hungry and tired ALL of the time.
Frustrated with the lack of progress, a friend introduced me to the SPIKE idea. I just purchased the Kindle version from Amazon this morning and I am ready to start. I will not say a word to my trainer. I will let the scale speak for me at weekly weigh in next week in front of the 12 other participants. This HAS to work! I will continue to use my expeller pressed coconut oil and try to limit higher glycemic load choices for the most part...but I sure am excited about pizza and ice cream on my SPIKE day!
Happy to be here, and praying that this is just what my metabolism needs!

I know how you feel. My Fitness has been the only thing for me so far that I've lost weight with. I started at 230 and now I'm at 204. My mom has lost almost 40lbs. She is very consistent. It is amazing looking at what you eat and counting those calories because you never realize how many calories are in something until you count them. I know if you can do that much cardio and exercise you can do this!0
