Exactly 2 years ago I sat down on my computer playing games and just ate junk food. I ate around ~5000 calories a day. No joke. I used to get full but keep on eating, and then I would get so full I would just pass out. Today I checked the scale for the first time in 2 years, and at first I thought my scale was broken! I am however still overweight, and planning on loosing another 30lbs. I would like to share my story and my advice to how I managed to do it.
I graduated from high school 2 years ago in a small country in the middle east called Bahrain. I never really cared about my weight because I kept telling myself that this is who I am. My parents however were very concerned of my health, and my dad has paid AT LEAST 6000 dollars for my gym memberships and other facilities that tried to help me lose weight, but no success. My mom always made me healthy food, but she didn't know that I would leave the house to go to the food courts only to get my favorite type of food! Junk food. It was summer and I was getting ready to move to the US to pursue my education at the university. That is when I decided to change everything.
This is me a month before my weight loss plan:(The guy on the right).

-Today I see myself is a different man:

-I decided to become a pescatarian recently and I have never felt healthier. Was it hard? Nope not at all. I always was a big fan of seafood. I started to notice that my skin has become lighter and all my acne has disappeared. However, just because someone decides to become a pescatarian or a vegetarian DOES NOT mean that they will automatically lose weight because it's still about your calorie intake!!!!! This however is a factor to my weight loss because I feel MUCH more energetic.
-Don't reward yourself with unnecessary food. Seriously I never understood this. Yes, its fine if you want to eat your favorite meal every once in a while, but don't consider it as a reward, and don't do it often.
-Working out is a MUST. If you decide that you want to lose weight by cutting off your calories without going to workout then you can still lose weight, but your body will not get toned very well. If you like to have extra loose skin then go for it!
-Don't think of your long term goal! Make short term goals to keep you motivated. Instead of trying to lose 100lbs in a year, focus on losing 8lbs a month.
-Push yourself. If you decide to run for 3 minutes, and feel like you can do more than go for 4 minutes! These small pushes will help you so much and make you feel so much better about yourself!
-The hardest part of all is the amount of food you eat. Make sure you are never full, but most importantly make sure you never starve yourself. If you eat more than the recommended amount then feel guilty about it, but don't starve yourself the next day please! Just keep a stable amount of calories! This also brings me to the next point!
-Educate yourself! It is vital to understand how calories work, and why protein, carbs and fats are important! This is really important if you care about your weight loss! This helps you pick the right food at the grocery store that both satisfies you and helps you lose weight! The internet is filled with these information!
-Finally, please DO NOT take any diet pills or follow any diet plans. Everyone is different, and your body works differently than everyone else! Eventually when you get used to your plan you will know exactly what you need to add or remove from your plan.
The most important thing is to motivate yourself. This is something I can't help you with because I don't know what motivates you! But I will share my motivation. Every time before I leave the house to go to the gym I take a close look at the 30pictures of myself when I was bigger, and how I don't want to be that big and unhealthy again.
