Strength Training

I recently upped my weights while doing my strength training circuit which is fine for everything except my overhead dumbbell presses. I'm a newbie so was using 5 lb weights but bumped it up to 8 lbs. The problem is, my form with the 8 lbs is terribly after the 7th or 8th rep, but 5 lbs is wayyyy too easy. Is there a better way for me to strengthen those muscles so I have better form or keep pushing through and just work on the form as I go?

Maybe you could decrease the reps with the 8 pounds and just do 5 and do more sets, assuming your form stays good. Don't press it if your form breaks down. Make sure you don't injure yourself.0

I will try that. It is hard for me because I can do everything else...it is challenging, but I can do it. That is the one thing I'm having trouble with.0

You can do as many as you can with good form with the heavier weight then finish the set off with the lower weight. By the time you switch the 5lbs won't seem so easy.0
