I have a problem drinking strait water so I always drink a weaker brewed black tea. I count it in my diary, but as it comes up with no calories I think of it as drinking water. That's still pretty much what's going on, it's flavored water.0

I guess I should amend that. Black tea does have about 50 mg of caffiene per cup. I brew mine to about half strength.0

All liquid counts. The caffeine is slightly dehydrating. The food you eat (fresh fruits, veggies, etc) contains liquid as well.0

Many people here disagree, but for me, water means water.0 -
If you have to count, then count it as water. A better idea is to give up counting. You don't need 8x8 glasses of water a day. Drink if you're thirsty, and don't obsess over it.0
