Weight gain HELP HELP

Ok, I dont always enter my weight but today I steped on the scale and have gained five pounds I do keep track of calories I eat and burn. I eat 1300 daily and I wear a HRM while working out I do see fab def in my arm and abs but am wonder if this could be a water weight gain from using my pre work out drink I use jack 3d.... or heck maybe I shouldnt take it for a week and see what happends... and thought to hwat it might be?

It could also be muscle gain. You never know0

I gain weight (3-5 pounds) the week of my period. I'd just be real careful tracking for the next 3 days and weigh yourself again and see.0

I'd say it could be either water weight or muscle gain. Muscle weighs more than fat and even if your watching calories, if you have too much sodium, protein, etc. It can cause weight gain. You could try to Weigh yourself during a morning after you take care of business in the bathroom.0

I doubt it's muscle gain (hard to do on a calorie deficit and it's REALLY hard for a woman to gain 5lbs of it in a short time). It could be water retention. Have you switched up your workouts? Eaten a lot of sodium? Eaten a lot of packaged foods? Is it close to TOM? Are you measuring portions?
Did you eat and drink before weighing? All those thing cause fluctuations.0 -
I have switched work outs I am a beach body junkie I have done three diff programs from them well on my third and moving to another in 2 weeks. I weight my self first thing in the morning before I eat or drink any thing. I do measure portions. my monthly has already came this month so its not that. maybe I am consuming more salt ..... Thank you guys for your help Iam going to really focus on my call this week and food not drink the jack for sat or sun and see what the scale say monday thank you once again and good luck and keep up with all of your hard work!!!!0

Alright I got it figured out, did some research well it seemd that the amout of creatine that is in the amount of jack 3d that Iam using will cause water weight for female .......hmmmm well from the the website I should only use a scoop and 1/2 at the most hmmm I use three silly me!!!! so lets see how much of the weight is gone by monday0
