Need some advice...

I am trying to fit in some exercise every day but this is proving to be a little difficult between needing to get housework done, looking after the baby and needing to catch up on sleep since the baby doesn't sleep at night.
So I want your opinions on this.....My son goes to daycare 3 days per week. On those days I have been doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred twice and then doing her Backside Burn DVD. (not as intense and more about strength)
So I'm doing just under 2 hours of exercise.
On the days he is at home, I try do 30 day shred once. But this is not always possible.Then on weekends if my husband isn't working, I try to fit in 30 day shred.
Ok so my question is....
Should I try to rather do about 45 minutes of exercise each day (say 5-6 days per week) or to do a good hard workout 3-4 days per week of about 1 hour 45 minutes?

It's completely dependent on how your body is recovering. I do think 2 hours of exercise is a little much and you'd probably be better served by spreading it out. As you tire, your form and effort will decrease. Going hard for a full 45 mins to an hour will be better in the long run than going hard for an hour and then suffering through another hour.
There are plenty of creative ways to schedule around kids. Before he gets up, when he naps, stuff like that. Plenty of moms here can offer more advice on this.0 -

I try do the harder workout first (30 day shred) and then the backside burn is more of repetition weight lifting.
Unfortunately I can't get up before my son because generally I have been up most the night with him. So I am completely exhausted. Infact to exercise at all seems a mission but I'm proud to say I'm in my 3rd week and done around 5 days per week so far0 -
How about doing the dvd workout on the days he is at daycare, and taking him out for a walk/jog on the other days.0

This is a great idea! But in Miami its been about 95 degrees I am going to try walk with him in the early mornings as soon as he wakes up. It's still hot but atleast not 95!0

I think you're expectation for yourself is too high. If you're able to exercise that much with little ones then go for it, but not at the cost of your health. I have 3 little ones at home and I work out 30 min. 6 days a week. 3 days are 30 DS and the other 3 are C25K. I feel this is adequate exercise. I'm seeing great results in my body and I still have time to keep up with my kids activities, housework not so much.0

Do you have a really big shopping mall nearby? Go as soon as they open (so it's no so crowded) and do "laps" around the mall. I know it sounds kind of dorky, but it might work. I remember when I lived in AZ some of the malls would actually open up like an hour early (just the mall not the individual stores) for "walkers."0

you are better off busting your *kitten* for 30-45 minutes 5 days per week then working out for more than an hour 3 days. You can do a whole bunch of neat (and hard) tabata) routines in 12-15 minutes. You can do interval training in 20-30 minutes. You can put together an incredible metabolic resistance routine with bodyweight exercises and supersets involving non-competing muscles in 30 minutes.0
