I weighed myself today and I have went down 6 pounds in a week, What I am wondering is how much should I expect this to be from water weight and how much from actually fat loss, I am getting close to my daily calorie intake and I exercise everyday. I am afraid of losing too much weight in such a quick time.

I lost 10 pounds in my first week. from my experience, I loose a lot in the first two weeks and then it goes down to 1 or 2 pounds a week.0

Don't worry just yet. If you have started a new diet it could easily be water weight. If so it should level out after a few weeks. If you are still seeing that much weightloss and are worried you can adjust your calories or even see your doctor. When I started my new diet I lost 5 the first week but now its about 1 pound a week.0

It is amazing how much water weight a person can retain. Just hang in there.0 -
I called my nurse first thing and she said that on average it could be from 6 to 8 pounds of water weight.0
