I Call Plateauing A Success

I work hard to eat hard. That is I run 2 miles every day except Sundays. I am dead tired and exhausted every day but I do it anyway as my payback to enjoy food. No I'm not pigging out, but neither am I a nit pick calorie counter. Just "calorie conscious". I still want to enjoy my sweet little fixes every now and then and eat satisfyingly (but responsibly). So I haven't been gaining, but just hovering over and under the 158 lb. mark for the past eight weeks. I am 5'6" in height and no gut showing, but I'm still driven to lose 23 lbs. (if that will ever happen). Because I believe that the lighter you are, the more fit you are to run. I know that if I didn't run at all, I would probably be at 180 lbs. by now!

I have been doing the same thing!!! I have been at 156 lbs for the past month and I am 5'6'. I have some of a gut showing but I am changing my workout routine by adding yoga. I am glad to hear that somebody is out there, with close to the same plateau, that feels that it is a success. I believe my plateau is showing me how to maintain my weight when I get to my goal weight one day!!0

I believe we can reach it with enough patience and determination. There is no deadline anyway )0 -
You have a great attitude. Don't stress about the scales, carry on doing the right things, and the weight will eventually catch up.0

I beliive if you are hovering around a weight with no change then you are at just the right combination to maintain a weight. If you want to lower this weight, you either have to lower caloric intake or increase calories burned. No exceptions, it's as simple as that.0

For my case, it would be to lower my caloric intake. I know if I stopped my sweet tooth and control my portions, I would drop immediately. But I'll eventually do that pretty soon, when I finish my stash of junk here in my cupboard. I've said that so many times. LOL.
As for increasing my calories burned, I don't think I could do any more than what I'm presently doing now. I'm dead tired as it is running 2 miles/ day, six times a week. Plus having a fulltime job (not sedentary either).
