I haven't been back for over a week.
I got this wonderful letter from myfitnesspal reminding me not to give up.
I have fallen off track, I was doing pretty good but things happen.
There has been so many things going on in my life, that makes you feel like giving up.:explode: :explode:
I do need help, can't do this alone.
I must make the mark set before me in order to win this battle.
ANY SUGGESTIONS.....

These past two weeks have been like that for me. Besides being busy and traveling, Halloween has left piles of candy around the house that weren't given to the kids who came to the door. So yes, you aren't alone in feeling like this. I wish I could offer solutions, but I'm in the same boat you are.0

I gave up on myself after my divorce of 23 years. But my daughter had a baby, my first grandson, and I really want to get into shape for him. Maybe you just need to quite beating yourself up over this and take it one step at a time again. Once you start feeling better then for some reason it gets easier. If you fall off again, well, tomorrow is another day. :drinker:0

I have a pretty good idea of how you feel. I have been struggling to get back on track for awhile now. I was doing really good. Lost about 60 pounds but I moved and had alot of stress and now put about 20 back on. It is a constant struggle every day it seems. Just keep thinking about how it will feel when you finally reach your goal. As cheesey as it seems, just take it day by day. :happy:0

I was in the same boat for almost a month. I planned to allow myself a few days of "being bad" after I ran my first marathon, but after those few days, I had a hard time getting back on track---it has taken 3 weeks to get my diet under control. I gained almost 10 pounds in that time (I'm only 5' tall--10 lbs makes a big difference). It helped me to think about my original reasons for wanting to lose weight and get in shape--fitting back into my "skinny" jeans, being fit enough to run, and just generally feeling healthier. It also helped to try on a pair of my "fat" pants, which were still way too big. Overall, I'm still doing great, and it helps to think in terms of success, rather than failure. Take it one day at a time--if you were bad today, forget about it--tomorrow you get a clean slate. And be happy--if you're anything like me, when I'm feeling down on myself, I'm much more likely to drown my sorrows in a pint of Ben & Jerry's.0

I soooo understand. I was doing so well. I allowed myself to "be bad" when I had out of town company for a week. I lost total control and am having such a hard time getting back on track. I have gained weight and have been depressed about it which makes me want to eat more. It seems like there are temptations everywhere to eat unhealthy. I am just trying to think about my progress and how I never want to weigh as much as I did ever again. Tomorrow really is a new day to make better choices. Just know that you are not alone.

I blame it on the weather!
Keep this in mind. If you do bad one day but do good other days, it's better than having all bad days.
I have more than 1 bad day a week but am very slowly but surely losing weight.

My sister has been bugging me to sign up on My Fitness Pal.com for a while. Well I finally did and while entering data in my food journal I saw an advertisement banner that said something about a secret to losing belly fat which is my goal. It took me to a site for an Ebook called Fat Burning Furnace.
I hate to sound like an informercial but after throughly researching this website and the company I ended up buying the Ebook. I read the WHOLE thing in 24 hours! I was like a sponge soaking up all the truth about why we can't lose those last few stubborn pounds and how it's not our faults because we have been mislead and confused about how are body works. Now that I understand how my body works I have so much more energy which has extremely motivated me. I used to get wiped out each afternoon. Almost fatigued, but not anymore!
I don't want to bore anyone with details if no one is interested but I just can't stop telling everyone I know (and people I don't know) about this information. The book was wriiten by an average joe (like us, not a PHD) who stumbled on how to turn your body into a fat burning furnace by simply excersising only 45 mins a week. Yes, I said a week, not a day! The information I have learned has been so valuable. You know that feeling when you expierence something that will change your life forever. This is one of those times!
Anyway, if anyone is interested I can post some tips I learned but you should check out thier video by cutting and pasting the website listed below. It's like we finally get justice in this wait loss war! FINALLY!!!!

I too had given up after losing the man that I loved, my dad's death, then my granddaughter death.
I now have a grandson who is five and so many things are going on and I need to be strong and healthy so I can be around longer. Yes, when I fall, all I need to do is get up from where I left off and keep going the direction set before me and I will win this if I give not.0 -

At times it's just so hard to get up after you have fallen but the most important thing is to never give up.
To keep trying despite everything around us, no matter how hard the storm can be, we can make it.
It will feel so good to finally reach the goal that I want, to be healthy.0 -

I like what you wrote, yea, I used to be that way until I ended up with Diabetes II. So can't do that anymore.
