Too much protein?

So, a while back I discovered the Gladiator smoothie. I really like having it as a lunch time snack, as it eliminates lots of sodium and keeps me full and has few calories and not any fat plus I get a bit more fruit in my diet thanks to the smoothie. However, now I find myself always going over on protein because it's packed with it.
Is there a drawback to too much protein? Or it is okay so long as I keep under my overall calories?

You're perfectly fine going over on protein, in fact, if you're going by MFP auto calculations, I recommend it. I believe MFP calculates protein as 15% of your daily caloric intake, which is very low. I recommend eating protein in the 25-35% range. As long as you're below your daily caloric goal, don't sweat it.0
