Don't watch Supersize Me. It's a load of bull dung. I think we all know eating a burger, biggie fries, and a large coke is not good for you. Nevertheless, Morgan Spurlock fills the doc with misinformation, lies, exaggerations... it is a propaganda piece.

Oh bull. Supersize Me is ten times the documentary that that Fathead piece of garbage is.

    Fat Head

Watching this now. Great show debunking a lot of current held beliefs about fat-causing things we do.

Watch "Supersize Me" and then watch "Fat Head" and draw your own conclusions. Supersize me has no science, just shows that you gain weight by eating 5000 Calories of fast food per day like we already know. Fat Head is backed up with science and he basically goes on the same fast food diet but restricted to a reasonable daily Caloric limit and sugar-free drinks to show that it wasn't the content of the fast food that made Morgan Spurlock gain weight but the quantity of the food.

The title pretty much says it all - I'm looking for health/weight-related movies (mostly documentaries, I suppose) that are available on Netflix Instant that you guys watch when you need a little inspiration

    Hello from Chicago!
Fearlesly; Your post made this weekend a Netflix marathon of health-related shows for me Thanks.

    FAT HEAD
ENGINE 2 KITCHEN RESCUE (will try the Veggie Lasagna Recipe)
    CNBC: ONE NATION, OVERWEIGHT
    PREVENTING & REVERSING DIABETES
    FOOD MATTERS
    DR. ANDREW WEIL: HEALTHY AGING
    SUPERCHARGE YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM
    FOOD FIGHT
    SPIRIT OF THE MARATHON

    Above are documentaries/specials.

Planning to watch a movie "Fat Boy Chronicle" later today.

Has anyone mentioned "lbs." ? It's the story of a 300lb man who has a heart attack and moves out to into the country to take the weight off. There's lots of family drama mixed it. It wasn't an entirely uplifting movie, but I thought it was really well done, and fairly realistic for a fictional portrayal,
