Hi All,

I joined MFP on the 2nd of May 2012 and have really been tracking what I eat, walking or cross trainer and have a total gym. I have not lost ANYTHING and my measuements are pretty much the same. I mean come on you want to see some diffenence!!!...Right??

I have lost weight in the past and have always seen a loss in a week or two but to have NOTHING in 7 weeks & I'm getting a bit over it. I'm not wanting to give up - it's just making me walk/run train a bit harder cause I'm feeling p#@*ed off!!

If anyone has ANY advice on what I could tweek or try I'm all ears. I'm 97kg 165cm, 34 years old female - I looked into the BMR thing and just got totally confused.

Cheers
Sally

Start watching your macros. I changes my settings to 40% carbs/30% fat/30% protein and that made a world of difference for me. I also watch my sodium intake closely. I try not to go over 2000mg a day. (2500 is the max recommended)

I'm not an expert...what is working for me, is looking at my sugar intake. Thinking of trying to keep my blood sugar fairly even rather than peaks and troughs. The weekend was way off course for me so if u look in my diary you'll see a few days of disaster. However, over the longer period of time I've cut down on sugar a fair bit. Alcohol is a form of sugar (carbohydrate) and I notice you have a little on most days. Sometimes if u change one small thing it will make a bit impact. Try playing around with the regular things u eat. Good luck :)

Try this site to get your numbers....TDEE, BMR, etc....MFP sometimes calculates a little off...Use the CUT of -15% to get your optimal numbers that you should eat each day....Also when using these numbers you do NOT need to eat back your exercise calories unless you drop below BMR....I hope this helps....It's a little confusing at first but if you have any questions we are here... :)

ETA: Looking at your food diary I don't see any water intake unless you don't log it....Also set your macros to watch sodium and sugar as well....This can help a whole lot with weightloss...

A couple of thoughts. First, be really, REALLY anal about food measurements if you're guestimating. Second, you need to up your fruits and veggies. Third, you could try low/high days where every 2 days averages what you should eat per day- that works for a friend of mine.

Have a look at the metagenics shake it diet - metagenics have a website. It's what my naturopath put me on and I lost 16kg in 4 months. You do need to be determined to stick to it though.

It looks like you dont eat much in the morning. Try to add a midmorning snack of 200 calories and reduce dinner by that amount. Itwill help you feel more energized. Maybe you havent been tracking all your exercise, but aim for minimum 30 minutes every single day, more if you can. If you are busy, You could do two or three sessions of fifteen minutes throughout the day as you get
