what's a good flat footed shoe to do squats/deadlifts? earlier today someone recommended chuck taylors (converse all star)

    There are shoes specifically made for olympic lifting. Try them.

    I just bought a pair of nike free trainers and they are the best shoes I have tried yet for squats/deads.

    I used wrestling shoes. Those seemed to work pretty well.

    I go the no shoe route ( cheaper than any shoe made ) Just socks. I do get a lot of looks and questions though

    no i actually just wear my socks :) prevents me from rolling forward

    I do them in my socks too,but if you want to use a shoe, good ol chucks will work just fine.
