Okay ... I have always been told there is no such thing as a really dumb question, but guess what, I have it... what does it mean when people reply to a post with the word "bump" ???

    It means they want to move it up the queue to keep it on the front page.

    They also do it to "mark" it for later. Then they can go back later and see what others have posted after them. (it shows up on their profile under recent activity, or "my recent forum posts", or even easier, click the My Topics up above)
