Sprained Ankle trouble...

So I sprained my ankle just about 3 weeks ago. A week ago it started to feel healed enough to walk on for more than just a few feet. So yesterday I figured that it's been 3 weeks I could probably get back to walking long distances and maybe even jogging again. However, when I tried to jog, it just intensified the pain in my ankle. Even walking was slightly uncomfortable. So I've been trying to do other cardio exercises, but it seems like everything I do just puts pressure or twists my ankle. So I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what I can do for some simple cardio that won't make me hurt myself.

Also this is the first time I've sprained my ankle, so does anyone know how long it'll be before I get full functionality back (i.e. How long until I can jog again?) I'm afraid if I'm not jogging soon it may be really hard to start again.

Kickboxing! But only the upper body moves. If you go fast enough it really gets your heart rate up. When contestants on The Biggest Loser have lower body injuries they use this method.

Also, it took Char's sprain nearly a whole summer to heal but his was severe.
