It really depends on your coordination. I am super UNcoordinated and found Turbo Jam much easier to follow. Turbo Fire is like a jacked up (faster) version of Turbo Jam. They're both good but if you struggle with coordination, I'd suggest starting with TJ to learn the moves first.

ETA: these were my favorite TJ videos: http://www.amazon.com/Turbo-Jam-Beachbody-Rockin-Workouts/dp/B000EZHWVQ/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1340070226&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=turbo+jam

I agree-- I am very uncoordinated too. I started with Turbo Jam and advanced to Turbo Fire. They are both a lot of fun, but Turbo Jam is more basic. I am a Beachbody coach if you need help or free coaching!

Turbo Jam is beginner to intermediate level. Turbo Fire is advanced. It's kind of like Turbo Jam on crack.
  • I have done Turbo Jam and I loved it and I too am thinking about getting Turbo Fire. I like to Dance so Turbo Jam worked out well because it feels like you are dancing while burning the calories! However I have had it for 3 years now and I am looking for a change but still and up beat dance type work out!

I did Turbo Jam for 3 yrs. Yep, it's that good. I lost weight and inches doing it. I'm not so good with following diet plans to the T, and still tones up. It's a little frustrating in the beginning just getting down the moves, but after a cpl times you will love it. Great music in both programs.

turbo Fire is a little more advanced in that there is more jumping or plyo moves. Yet another fun workout. Also, both programs can be modified for impact, so they both offer you a challenge.

honestly, I did see more results with Turbo Jam as far as losing inches. But, it really comes down to punching and kicking or more high intensity jumpy training.

My daughter is using my Turbo Fire right now and is seeing good weight loss after having a baby. The inches have been a little slower than shed like, but overall she likes the change.

You could always start with TJ and then move on to TF!
