Hi, I am having such a hard time sticking to a good diet and exercise program. I believe it's because i haven't lost any weight and im starting to think its impossible. Does anyone have any advice to keep me motivated? What worked for you?

Try not to concentrate on the numbers. Think more about how you feel, are you feeling better after eating healthier and or working out more?0

For many people if they also started exercising, instead of losing weight, they are toning up, so they lose inches.
Didn't look at your food diary yet, but are you sure you're eating enough? See the many articles about eating more to lose weight.0 -
nothings impossible. set smaller goals. Don't focus on the scale alone. Take your measurements. If you exercise a lot, you may initially gain weight as muscle starts to build, but may see a drop in inches. Eat 3 main meals for sure, and a couple of snacks to keep your metabolism going. Don't fall into the mindset that if you don't eat, you will lose weight. Doesn't work that way. Fruit/veggies/fibre. You can do it if you take it one day at a time and don't get discouraged by minor setbacks. Asks for friends on this site to help you along on your journey. This is a great site and people here will help you.0

Nobody can make you be motivated, it has to come from within. Personally, I felt like one day I hit a wall and something snapped. A week later I started dieting and haven't looked back. There has to be a deep-seeded drive and 'fire' burning within. The only person that can be held accountable is you. That being said, what kind of diet are you following? Maybe you're trying a diet you're not very compatible with. I always recommend paleo/primal dieting. Cut out the grains.0

I try to surround myself with as much positive material as possible. I read a lot and come to the boards for support and inspiration. Recently I just took some before pictures and posted them on my mirror, which truly inspires me. Plus I have FANTABULOUS friends here.
Feel free to add me! :flowerforyou:0
