i don't usually eat the calories i burn i keep it at my goal but if i do go over the daily gaol calories i don't worry about it of i burned off caloreis that day. so my suggestion is stick to your estimeated gaol calories forthe day as often as you can. i have been at it since march and eating my goal calories and have lost 32 lbs. but i do work out a alo:smooched:

Plan your lunch and breakfast to be bigger if you know you're going to the gym in the evening. You'll get used to it.

...and, "Yes, eat your exercise calories ."

The calculated calories for the day already has a deficit in in for you to lose weight. If you do exercise you are increasing this deficit. You can either eat these calories and lose weight slowly (at the amount you put in to lose a week) or you can just use it as an added bonus to lose weight quicker like I do.

Take a look at this and pay attention to the "eating-all-of-your-calories-bmr" one.

I eat some of my calories back but only because I eat so few calories to begin with. But I don't think eating your calories back is a good thing. The point of exercise is to burn some of the calories you ate so you are having fewer calorie intake and therefore losing weight. Just my opinon.

I would google this topic and find a wider view than just the one from this site

MFP's calorie goal already has a built in deficit. That is why MFP's view is "eat back your calories". If you are using a different plan like googling your daily goal, then there is NOT a built in deficit, so you don't eat back those calories. Your creating your own deficit in that case.

This link has about 15 pages of posts, scroll through. They pretty much all testify to how it works to do it by eating your exercise calories.

I personally added just about every one of those posts - from many sources, and that was years ago. Not "Cosmo magazine" or Dr. Oz posts, but actual testimonies.

The argument continues. I don't know why people want to eat less. It makes no sense to me. But I've done my part for the argument.

Also, go to the Eat More to Weigh Less Group (look in the "Groups" tab above.)
