NSV - diabetes

I am so excited that I thought I would share my news.
12 months ago I was told that I was pre-diabetic (but borderline Type 2 diabetes).
I joined MFP at the beginning of January, I had not really dieted but had lost around 10kg in the previous year but since joining MFP, and with the support of some brilliant friends, the weight has been coming off on average just over 1kg per week since then. I have now lost a total of 36kg.
Today I saw my doctor after having some routine blood tests done.
My blood glucose and cholesterol are now in low normal levels and she has declared that I can no longer even be classified as pre-diabetic. My blood pressure is also lowering and she would like me to lose another 20kg and then will begin to look at reducing the blood pressure medications that I have been taking for the last 12 years.
It is only recently that I have been able to "see" the weight loss that people keep congratulating me on, but for the first time today I actually realised that this journey could give me a longer life as the changes are both internal and external.
Thanks MFP and my brilliant friends and family for their support. With you all behind me I know that I can do this.
I would post some pics but have no idea how to!

Thats absolutely fantastic. You have no idea what a favour you have done yourself! I was in your position 8 years ago, and unlike you, didnt have the sense to understand I was being given a last chance to prevent being diabetic. I went on to being diabetic, and a bad one at that, and have just got to live with it now for the rest of my life.congratulations for losing the weight, and for having the wisdom and determination to take make changes!0
