I have been concentrating on eating whole foods for some time. I recently gave up wheat (gluten) consumpion due to being sensitive to it. I also gave up added sugar, because frankly its bad for you. I am trying to not to add "gluten-free" substitues as they are full of calories and raise insulin levels, yada yada yada. So I realized I'm eating very close to primal/paleo, although I have never read the books so unsure of all the "rules". Anyway, I have noticed my hunger levels have plummeted. And I'm finding it very hard to meet my calorie goal of 1800 (I'm set to 1.5 pounds per week) . Last night I was around 1400 calories. Is anyone else having problems meeting calorie goals? Any suggested solutions?

Both paleo and primal focus on protein and healthy fats. If you are eating plenty of both, you should not have an issue meeting your macro and TDEE needs. Below are great sources of healthy fat, some of which give great amounts of protein as well.

Nuts: Almonds, Cashews, Hazelnuts and Macedamia
    Fish: Tuna, Salmon, Talapia, etc.
    Meat and Eggs: Vegetarian-fed
    Avocados
    Coconut
    Flaxseed

almond flour! if you're not eating grains, its pretty much a godsend and helps add cals.
