How long chicken good in fridge?

I am having a hard time with my dinners. We are always pressed for time and many days I just grab something and go. I would like to start precooking some chicken on Sundays for the rest of the week. I thought that you should only refrigerate cooked foods for up to 4 days. Is this a myth or will it be good for the whole week?

    I've been told that you can use chicken after it's been frozen for stews and stuff.

    Should be more than fine for a whole week, I actually do that very same thing of preparing all my meals on Sunday for the entire week and I've never had a problem with chicken, beef, or lean ground turkey going bad.

    I usually grill a week's worth of chicken on Sunday and I normally have some left on Saturday. It's never gone bad on me just 1 week in the fridge.
