I don't drink either. It's pretty easy to get the recommended amounts of calcium in the foods you eat and with supplements. I HATE wasting calories on ANY beverages.

Horizon organic fat free milk is delicious. It tastes like 2% . After having organic milk I wouldn't go back to the regular one.

Milk contains many more calories than I first thought. Before MFP I used to drink gallons of it. Depends how you are using it. If your jjust having it in tea/coffee or a bit on cereal then I cant see any harm using semi skimmed but if your drinking milk then go for the 2% stuff. We are using 1% stuff from Tesco at the moment and it tastes exactly the same as semi imo. I actually used to like fully skimmed but my other half doesn't.

I also don't drink either :ohwell: It tastes gross to me anyway, so I don't miss it! I use unsweetened almond milk in my protein shakes though. Also, like pp said, I get calcium from other non-beverages.

Almond milk is definitely the way to go, it's lower in calories and it tastes great, I use Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla and don't miss regular milk at all.

Just drink whatever milk you like but lower your consumption to your calorie allowance accordingly. I drink semi-skimmed and measure it out for my porridge in the morning and if I fancy drinking tea and coffee I will put an amount in a little measuring jug in the fridge so I know how much I have. 100ml for 40 calories can see me up to 4 cups of tea & coffee.
